Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am a licensed mental health professional in the state of New York and provide psychotherapy services only to clients who live in New York. These therapy services are offered under my professional license and adhere to the legal, ethical, and clinical standards established by the New York State Office of the Professions.

In addition to psychotherapy, I also offer non-clinical services such as psycho-spiritual guidance, embodiment practices, ritual facilitation, and energy healing. These services are not psychotherapy, are not a substitute for mental health treatment, and are not regulated by a professional licensing board. They are offered as personal development and spiritual growth work and are available to clients regardless of their location.

It is important to note that psychotherapy and non-clinical healing services cannot be offered in tandem. Clients must choose one service path at a time, as these offerings are legally and ethically distinct. If you wish to transition from one to the other, we will discuss appropriate timing, boundaries, and documentation to ensure clarity and compliance with professional standards.

At the start of our work together, we will clarify which service is being provided and ensure mutual understanding of the scope, boundaries, and intentions of the work. I welcome your questions at any time and am committed to supporting you in choosing the most aligned path for your healing and growth.

  • Individual therapy fees start at $225/session for 50-minutes

    Couples/Partners Counseling starts at $325/75-minutes.

Sometimes I arrange for longer sessions, in which case fees are subject to change and would be discussed prior to the session. I accept credit only. I am also not an in-network provider with insurance. A limited number of sliding scale slots based on annual income may be considered for clients who experience financial hardship and are not eligible for out-of-network benefits. We can discuss your individual needs during our consultation.

  • For all psychotherapy clients working with me under my license, I offer out-of-network services. See the next drop down for more details.

For all those who choose to work with me outside of the scope of my licensure, insurance is not covered in any capacity.

  • What are the benefits to being out-of-network?

Insurance companies mandate a diagnosis, oversee your health records, and may seek access to your information while in therapy. They also may limit your coverage to a set number of therapy sessions per year, regardless of what you're going through. When considering the implications of using insurance, paying out-of-pocket is a better fit for some.

What to ask yourself and your insurance:

Clinical Services may be covered in part or in full by your health insurance plan. Please check your coverage carefully by asking your provider these questions:

Do I have "out-of-network" mental health insurance benefits?

What is my deductible and has it been met?

    What is my "co-insurance"?

How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

What is the coverage amount per session?

Is approval required from my primary care doctor?

In instances where out-of-network benefits are covered, you will be responsible for payment at the time of service and your insurance will reimburse your expenses.

  • I support adults and young adults across a wide range of identities and relationship styles—from kinky, queer, and non-monogamous to cis, hetero, monogamous, and curious explorers. My practice is especially aligned with those who are on a spiritual path or feeling called to begin one. I work with individuals, couples, intimate partners, and dyads of all kinds.
